Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received and wherein ye stand |

| di ou kai swzesqe tini logw euhggelisamhn umin ei katecete ektoV ei mh eikh episteusate
By which also ye are saved if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. |
|
| paredwka gar umin en prwtoiV o kai parelabon oti cristoV apeqanen uper twn amartiwn hmwn kata taV grafaV
For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; |
|
| kai oti etafh kai oti eghgertai th trith hmera kata taV grafaV
And that he was buried and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: |

| kai oti wfqh khfa eita toiV dwdeka
And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: |
|
| epeita wfqh epanw pentakosioiV adelfoiV efapax ex wn oi pleiouV menousin ewV arti tineV de kai ekoimhqhsan
After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep |
|
| epeita wfqh iakwbw eita toiV apostoloiV pasin
After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. |
|
| escaton de pantwn wsperei tw ektrwmati wfqh kamoi
And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. |
|
| egw gar eimi o elacistoV twn apostolwn oV ouk eimi ikanoV kaleisqai apostoloV dioti ediwxa thn ekklhsian tou qeou
For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. |
|
| cariti de qeou eimi o eimi kai h cariV autou h eiV eme ou kenh egenhqh alla perissoteron autwn pantwn ekopiasa ouk egw de all h cariV tou qeou h sun emoi
But by the grace of God I am what I am and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me. |

| eite oun egw eite ekeinoi outwV khrussomen kai outwV episteusate
Therefore whether it were I or they, so we preach and so ye believed |
|
| ei de cristoV khrussetai oti ek nekrwn eghgertai pwV legousin tineV en umin oti anastasiV nekrwn ouk estin
Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead ? |
|
| ei de anastasiV nekrwn ouk estin oude cristoV eghgertai
But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen |
|
| ei de cristoV ouk eghgertai kenon ara to khrugma hmwn kenh de kai h pistiV umwn
And if Christ be not risen then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain. |
|
| euriskomeqa de kai yeudomartureV tou qeou oti emarturhsamen kata tou qeou oti hgeiren ton criston on ouk hgeiren eiper ara nekroi ouk egeirontai
Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up if so be that the dead rise not. |

| ei gar nekroi ouk egeirontai oude cristoV eghgertai
For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised |
|
| ei de cristoV ouk eghgertai mataia h pistiV umwn eti este en taiV amartiaiV umwn
And if Christ be not raised your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins. |
|
| ara kai oi koimhqenteV en cristw apwlonto
Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished |
|
| ei en th zwh tauth hlpikoteV esmen en cristw monon eleeinoteroi pantwn anqrwpwn esmen
If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. |
|
| nuni de cristoV eghgertai ek nekrwn aparch twn kekoimhmenwn egeneto
But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept |
|
| epeidh gar di anqrwpou o qanatoV kai di anqrwpou anastasiV nekrwn
For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. |
|
| wsper gar en tw adam panteV apoqnhskousin outwV kai en tw cristw panteV zwopoihqhsontai
For as in Adam all die even so in Christ shall all be made alive |
|
| ekastoV de en tw idiw tagmati aparch cristoV epeita oi cristou en th parousia autou
But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming. |
|
| eita to teloV otan paradw thn basileian tw qew kai patri otan katarghsh pasan archn kai pasan exousian kai dunamin
Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. |
|
| dei gar auton basileuein acriV ou an qh pantaV touV ecqrouV upo touV podaV autou
For he must reign till he hath put all enemies under his feet. |
|
| escatoV ecqroV katargeitai o qanatoV
The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death. |
|
| panta gar upetaxen upo touV podaV autou otan de eiph oti panta upotetaktai dhlon oti ektoV tou upotaxantoV autw ta panta
For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him. |
|
| otan de upotagh autw ta panta tote kai autoV o uioV upotaghsetai tw upotaxanti autw ta panta ina h o qeoV ta panta en pasin
And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all. |
|
| epei ti poihsousin oi baptizomenoi uper twn nekrwn ei olwV nekroi ouk egeirontai ti kai baptizontai uper twn nekrwn
Else what shall they do which are baptized for the dead, if the dead rise not at all ? why are they then baptized for the dead ? |
|
| ti kai hmeiV kinduneuomen pasan wran
And why stand we in jeopardy every hour ? |
|
| kaq hmeran apoqnhskw nh thn hmeteran kauchsin hn ecw en cristw ihsou tw kuriw hmwn
I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily . |
|
| ei kata anqrwpon eqhriomachsa en efesw ti moi to ofeloV ei nekroi ouk egeirontai fagwmen kai piwmen aurion gar apoqnhskomen
If after the manner of men I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what advantageth it me, if the dead rise not ? let us eat and drink for to morrow we die |

| mh planasqe fqeirousin hqh crhsq omiliai kakai
Be not deceived evil communications corrupt good manners. |
|
| eknhyate dikaiwV kai mh amartanete agnwsian gar qeou tineV ecousin proV entrophn umin legw
Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame. |
|
| all erei tiV pwV egeirontai oi nekroi poiw de swmati ercontai
But some man will say How are the dead raised up and with what body do they come |
|
| afron su o speireiV ou zwopoieitai ean mh apoqanh
Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened except it die |
|
| kai o speireiV ou to swma to genhsomenon speireiV alla gumnon kokkon ei tucoi sitou h tinoV twn loipwn
And that which thou sowest thou sowest not that body that shall be but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain: |
|
| o de qeoV autw didwsin swma kaqwV hqelhsen kai ekastw twn spermatwn to idion swma
But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him and to every seed his own body. |
|
| ou pasa sarx h auth sarx alla allh men sarx anqrwpwn allh de sarx kthnwn allh de icquwn allh de pthnwn
All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men , another flesh of beasts , another of fishes, and another of birds. |
|
| kai swmata epourania kai swmata epigeia all etera men h twn epouraniwn doxa etera de h twn epigeiwn
There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another. |
|
| allh doxa hliou kai allh doxa selhnhV kai allh doxa asterwn asthr gar asteroV diaferei en doxh
There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory. |
|
| outwV kai h anastasiV twn nekrwn speiretai en fqora egeiretai en afqarsia
So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption: |

| speiretai en atimia egeiretai en doxh speiretai en asqeneia egeiretai en dunamei
It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power: |
|
| speiretai swma yucikon egeiretai swma pneumatikon estin swma yucikon kai estin swma pneumatikon
It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. |
|
| outwV kai gegraptai egeneto o prwtoV anqrwpoV adam eiV yuchn zwsan o escatoV adam eiV pneuma zwopoioun
And so it is written The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit. |
|
| all ou prwton to pneumatikon alla to yucikon epeita to pneumatikon
Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual. |
|
| o prwtoV anqrwpoV ek ghV coikoV o deuteroV anqrwpoV o kurioV ex ouranou
The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven. |
|
| oioV o coikoV toioutoi kai oi coikoi kai oioV o epouranioV toioutoi kai oi epouranioi
As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly. |
|
| kai kaqwV eforesamen thn eikona tou coikou foresomen kai thn eikona tou epouraniou
And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly. |
|
| touto de fhmi adelfoi oti sarx kai aima basileian qeou klhronomhsai ou dunantai oude h fqora thn afqarsian klhronomei
Now this I say brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. |
|
| idou musthrion umin legw panteV men ou koimhqhsomeqa panteV de allaghsomeqa
Behold I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep but we shall all be changed |
|
| en atomw en riph ofqalmou en th escath salpiggi salpisei gar kai oi nekroi egerqhsontai afqartoi kai hmeiV allaghsomeqa
In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed |

| dei gar to fqarton touto endusasqai afqarsian kai to qnhton touto endusasqai aqanasian
For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. |
|
| otan de to fqarton touto endushtai afqarsian kai to qnhton touto endushtai aqanasian tote genhsetai o logoV o gegrammenoV katepoqh o qanatoV eiV nikoV
So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written Death is swallowed up in victory. |

| pou sou qanate to kentron pou sou adh to nikoV
O death, where is thy sting ? O grave, where is thy victory ? |
