And the LORD said4 unto Moses, Hew3 thee two tables of stone like unto the first: and I will write1 upon [these] tables the words that were in the first tables, which thou brakest.14
And be ready12 in the morning, and come up1 in the morning unto mount Sinai, and present8 thyself there to me in the top of the mount.
And no man shall come up4 with thee, neither let any man be seen11 throughout all the mount; neither let the flocks nor herds feed4 before that mount.
And he hewed4 two tables of stone like unto the first; and Moses rose up early55 in the morning, and went up4 unto mount Sinai, as the LORD had commanded14 him, and took4 in his hand the two tables of stone.
And the LORD descended4 in the cloud, and stood101 with him there, and proclaimed4 the name of the LORD.
And the LORD passed by4 before him, and proclaimed,4 The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, 639 and abundant in goodness and truth,
Keeping6 mercy for thousands, forgiving6 iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means15 clear17 [the guilty]; visiting6 the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth [generation].
And Moses made haste,17 and bowed his head4 toward the earth, and worshipped.101
And he said,4 If now I have found1 grace in thy sight, O Lord, let my Lord, I pray thee, go4 among us; for it [is] a stiffnecked 6203 people; and pardon1 our iniquity and our sin, and take us for thine inheritance.1
And he said,4 Behold, I make6 a covenant: before all thy people I will do4 marvels,12 such as have not been done8 in all the earth, nor in any nation: and all the people among which thou [art] shall see1 the work of the LORD: for it [is] a terrible12 thing that I will do6 with thee.
Observe3 thou that which I command18 thee this day: behold, I drive out6 before thee the Amorite, and the Canaanite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, and the Hivite, and the Jebusite.
Take heed10 to thyself, lest thou make4 a covenant with the inhabitants6 of the land whither thou goest,6 lest it be for a snare in the midst of thee:
But ye shall destroy4 their altars, break17 their images, and cut down4 their groves:
For thou shalt worship101 no other god: for the LORD, whose name [is] Jealous, [is] a jealous God:
Lest thou make4 a covenant with the inhabitants6 of the land, and they go a whoring1 after their gods, and do sacrifice1 unto their gods, and [one] call1 thee, and thou eat1 of his sacrifice;
And thou take1 of their daughters unto thy sons, and their daughters go a whoring1 after their gods, and make thy sons go a whoring52 after their gods.
Thou shalt make4 thee no molten gods.
The feast of unleavened bread shalt thou keep.4 Seven days thou shalt eat4 unleavened bread, as I commanded14 thee, in the time of the month Abib: for in the month Abib thou camest out1 from Egypt.
All that openeth the matrix [is] mine; and every firstling among thy cattle, [whether] ox or sheep, [that is male].11
But the firstling of an ass thou shalt redeem4 with a lamb: and if thou redeem4 [him] not, then shalt thou break his neck.1 All the firstborn of thy sons thou shalt redeem.4 And none shall appear11 before me empty.
Six days thou shalt work,4 but on the seventh day thou shalt rest:4 in earing time and in harvest thou shalt rest.4
And thou shalt observe4 the feast of weeks, of the firstfruits of wheat harvest, and the feast of ingathering at the year's end.
Thrice 7969 in the year shall all your men children appear11 before the Lord GOD, the God of Israel.
For I will cast out55 the nations before thee, and enlarge52 thy borders: neither shall any man desire4 thy land, when thou shalt go up2 to appear9 before the LORD thy God thrice 7969 in the year.
Thou shalt not offer4 the blood of my sacrifice with leaven; neither shall the sacrifice of the feast of the passover be left4 unto the morning.
The first of the firstfruits of thy land thou shalt bring55 unto the house of the LORD thy God. Thou shalt not seethe17 a kid in his mother's milk.
And the LORD said4 unto Moses, Write3 thou these words: for after the tenor of these words I have made1 a covenant with thee and with Israel.
And he was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat1 bread, nor drink1 water. And he wrote4 upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.
And it came to pass, when Moses came down2 from mount Sinai with the two tables of testimony in Moses' hand, when he came down2 from the mount, that Moses wist1 not that the skin of his face shone1 while he talked15 with him.
And when Aaron and all the children of Israel saw4 Moses, behold, the skin of his face shone;1 and they were afraid4 to come nigh2 him.
And Moses called4 unto them; and Aaron and all the rulers of the congregation returned4 unto him: and Moses talked17 with them.
And afterward all the children of Israel came nigh:8 and he gave them in commandment17 all that the LORD had spoken14 with him in mount Sinai.
And [till] Moses had done17 speaking15 with them, he put4 a vail on his face.
But when Moses went in2 before the LORD to speak15 with him, he took the vail off,55 until he came out.2 And he came out,1 and spake14 unto the children of Israel [that] which he was commanded.29
And the children of Israel saw1 the face of Moses, that the skin of Moses' face shone:1 and Moses put the vail upon his face again,52 until he went in2 to speak15 with him.
