Zeruiah

 

Zeruiah - (balsam), the mother of the three leading heroes of David's army--Abishai, Joah and Asahel-- known as the "sons of Zeruiah." Of Zeruiah's husband there is no mention in the Bible. (B.C. before 1046.)
