Jerubbaal, Or Jerubbaal

 

Jerubbaal, Or Jerubbaal - (contender with Baal), the surname of Gideon, which he acquired in consequence of destroying the altar of Baal, when his father defended him from the vengeance of the Abiezrites. (Judges 6:32)
